The Communication Strategy of The Rail Safety Inspection Office

Abstract:

Drážní inspekce je státní instituce, která garantuje bezpečné provozování dráhy a drážní dopravy. Jejím dlouhodobým cílem je zlepšování stavu v oblasti mimořádných událostí na všech drahách v České republice. To se jí podaří nejen důsledným dohlížením nad objektivním šetřením nehod, ale také účinnou osvětovou činností. Cílem této diplomové práce je stanovit komunikační strategii Drážní inspekce takovým způsobem, aby instituce dokázala efektivně plnit své poslání. V teoretické části, která je postavená na literárních pramenech z oblasti marketingové komunikace, jsou popsána pravidla fungování instituce, definována východiska a pracovní hypotézy pro analýzu interní a externí komunikace. V části praktické je platnost stanovených hypotéz ověřována, a to situační analýzou SWOT, obsahovou analýzou mediálních výstupů, průzkumem image Drážní inspekce a její externí komunikace mezi nejdůležitějšími cílovými skupinami a analýzou interní komunikace mezi zaměstnanci. Na základě výsledků těchto analýz je v projektové části navržena optimální podoba komunikační strategie.

Abstract:

The Rail Safety Inspection Office is an independent body to guarantee the safety opperation of the whole Czech rail system. Its long-term objective is to improve the situation in the area of rail accidents and incidents within the Czech rail system. This Office should fill these objectives sucessfully by consistent supervising the objective results of the accidents and effective public education. The aim of my final thesis is to set up a communication strategy of the Rail Safety Inspection Office to be highly effective in its application. This thesis is divided into several parts. The first part, which is written according to expert marketing books, describes the rules of application of this institution, defines basis working hypothesis for analysis of internal/external communication. The second one, practical verifies these hypothesis by SWOT analysis, content analysis of the media outputs, image research of the Rail Safety Inspection Office, and its external communication among the most important target groups and internal communication among own employees. According to this results, the optimal form of communication strategy is defined in the final project part of my final thesis.
