Distribution of food suplements

Abstract:

Tato práce pojednává o roli doplňků stravy na farmaceutickém trhu České republiky. Cílem práce je seznámit čtenáře s rolí doplňku stravy ve farmacii, legislativou regulující veškeré aktivity vážící se k doplňku stravy a vytvořit modelový případ vstupu nového doplňku stravy na trh. Tímto se zároveň potvrdila hypotéza, že nízká úroveň regulace umožňuje vysoce operativní vstup nového doplňku stravy na trh. Data pro teoretickou část byla čerpána z odborných publikací, zákonů a tematických článků odborné veřejnosti. Data pro praktickou část byla využita z interních zdrojů soukromé společnosti a odborných konzultací expertních pracovníků. Veškeré údaje v praktické části byly zpracovány formou případové studie. Případová studie byla tvořena z úhlu pohledu marketingu a prodeje a výsledek studie byl vyhodnocen kladně a vyšel v pozitivních číslech. V návrhové části je specifikováno uplatnění případové studie v praxi, silné a slabé stránky modelu případové studie a vyhodnocení hypotézy.

Abstract:

This thesis addresses the role of dietary supplements in the pharmaceutical industry of the Czech Republic. The thesis aims to educate the readers about the role of dietary supplements in the pharmaceutical sector, the legislation regulating all activities pertaining to the dietary supplements, and to create a test case for entry of a new dietary supplement on the market. It also confirms the hypothesis that a soft regulatory system allows for easy entry of a new dietary supplement on the market. Data used in the theoretical section were derived from journals, laws and regulations and professional publications. Data used in the practical section were obtained from the company’s internal sources and from the consulations with the professional staff. All data included in the practical section were presented in the form of a case study. The case study was put together from the point of view of sales and marketing and the result of the study was positive (with positive numbers). Suggestion part defines applying case-study methods in practice, advantages and disadvantages of the case-study methods and the hypothesis test result and conclusion.
