School Security and Active Attacker

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá tématem „Bezpečnost na školách a aktivní útočník“. Poslední dobou je bezpečnost často diskutované téma. V dnešní složité situaci, kdy několikrát ročně slyšíme o útocích na měkké cíle v Evropě, a dokonce už i v České republice, je potřeba se touto problematikou zabývat. Útokem již nejsou ohrožena jen nádraží nebo obchodní centra, ale i nevinní žáci škol. Cílem této práce je poskytnout ucelený náhled do problematiky bezpečnosti na školách po incidentech aktivního útočníka. V první části práce popisuje základní pojmy, charakteristiku typického pachatele či nejznámější útoky na školy u nás a v zahraničí. Poté naznačí, jak se zachovat při útoku aktivního útočníka, popíše na školách nově zavedená bezpečnostní opatření i to, jak při těchto útocích pracuje Policie České republiky. V závěrečné části jsou prezentovány výsledky dotazníku zaslaného ředitelům školských zařízení v Karlovarském kraji.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with the topic of security at schools and an active attacker. Recently, security has been frequently discussed. In today´s difficult situation, when we can hear about attacks on soft targets in Europe and in the Czech Republic as well several times a year, it is necessary to deal with this issue. Attacks endanger not only train stations or shopping centres, but also innocent pupils. The aim of this thesis is to give a comprehensive view in the problematics of security at schools after incidents of an active attacker. In the first part, the thesis describes the basic concepts, the characteristics of a typical attacker, or the most well-known attacks on schools in our country and abroad. Then, it is implied how to behave after an attack by an active attacker. Newly introduced security measures at schools are described along with the work of the Police of the Czech Republic during these attacks. In the final part, the results of a survey which was sent to school directors in the Karlovy Vary region are presented.
