Analysis of fundraising activities in the selected non-profit organization

Abstract:

Má bakalářská práce je věnována fundraisingovým aktivitám vybrané neziskové organizace. Hlavním cílem je zjistit, jaké fundraisingové metody zkoumaná organizace využívá a na jaké zdroje příjmů je především zaměřena. První část práce je zpracována formou literární rešerše a zabývá se teoretickým úvodem do problematiky neziskového sektoru. V následující kapitole budou představeny pojmy fundraising, fundraiser a budou rozebrány fundraisingové aktivity. Praktická část začíná určením metodického rámce, kde jsem si zadala čtyři základní výzkumné otázky a zvolila následující metody sběru dat: hloubkový polo-standardizovaný rozhovor a analýzu dokumentů. Pro zjištění skutečné finanční situace organizace jsem provedla analýzu zdrojů příjmů. Zjistila jsem, že zkoumaná organizace využívá velký počet fundraisingových aktivit, jež jsou zaměřeny především na budování dlouhodobých vztahů s individuálními dárci. Nicméně vytvořit dostatečně široký a stabilní okruh příznivců se jí dosud nepodařilo. V současné době je proto organizace závislá především na dotacích z veřejných rozpočtů a z grantů od soukromých subjektů.

Abstract:

My bachelor thesis is devoted to fundraising activities of selected non-profit organization. The main goal is to find out what fundraising methods the organization uses and what sources of income it is primarily focused on. The first part of the thesis is elaborated in the form of literature research and deals with the theoretical introduction to the issue of the non-profit sector. The practical part begins with determining the methodological framework, where I entered for basic research questions and selected the following methods of data collection: semi-structured interview and document analysis. For indication of the organization's actual financial situation, I analyzed the sources of income. I have found that the organization uses a large number of fundraising activities, which are mainly focused on building long-term relationships with individual donators. However, it has not yet succeeded in creating a stable circle of supporters. Therefore, at present, the organization depends primarily on subsidies from public budgets and grants from private entities.
