Implementation of programmed learning technique into an e-learning system

Abstract:

Předkládaná práce je zaměřena na implementaci programového učení do systému elektronické výuky. V první části je čtenář seznámen s teorií programového učení, historií e-learningu a byl zde také zhotoven přehled vybraných open source systémů pro e-learning se zaměřením na rozšiřitelnost a existenci podpory programového učení. Na základě daného zkoumání byl vybrán systém Moodle, který byl použit k rozšíření v praktické části práce. Hlavní výstup této bakalářské práce představuje naprogramované rozšíření LMS Moodle, které umožňuje využít principy programového učení při výuce. V rámci práce byl navržen odpovídající databázový model, realizován návrh funkcí a ovládacích prvků a zhotoven plně funkční modul, který může být použit ve výuce. Hotové rozšíření bylo podrobeno uživatelskému testování, které úspěšně potvrdilo jednoduchost práce s navrženým řešením.

Abstract:

The aim of this bachelor's thesis is the Implementation of programmed learning technique into an e-learning system. The reader is introduced into main problems of the theory of programmed learning and the history of e-learning first. The overview of a few chosen open source systems suitable for e-learning with the intention of expandability and existence of a support of programmed learning was made thereafter. The choice of the Moodle system was based on a research for the usage of the expansion for the practical part of this work. The main accomplishment of this bachelor's thesis presents programmed extension of LMS Moodle, which allows the use of the programmed learning principles in education. Some other outcomes which were realized in this thesis are the database model, design of functions and control elements and the making of a fully operative module which could be used in real learning environment. All the findings mentioned above were submitted to user testing that successfully confirmed the simplicity and clarity of work with designed extension.
