Abstract:
The topic of this dissertation is “Linguistic and Extra Linguistic Means Used in Advertising: Comparison of German and Japanese Advertisement.” A set of 290 TV advertising spots (145 German and Japanese advertisements, respectively) broadcasted between 2005 and 2015 is analysed on the basis of cultural dimensions as defined by Geert Hofstede (qualitative comparative linguistic analysis). Tématem předložené dizertační práce jsou „Jazykové a mimojazykové prostředky reklamy: srovnání německé a japonské reklamy“. Na základě kulturních dimenzí definovaných Geertem Hofstedem je korpus 290 (145 německých a 145 japonských) televizních spotů vysílaných mezi lety 2005 až 2015 podroben kvalitativní srovnávací jazykové analýze.
