Abstract:

Diplomová práce sleduje dopad covid-19 na hospodaření podniků v sektoru ubytování a stravování v ČR a v Německu, a to na základě analýzy změn poměrových ukazatelů finanční analýzy v letech 2020 a 2021 ve srovnání s rokem 2019. Výsledky pro jednotlivé země jsou následně porovnány a pomocí regresní analýzy je ověřen vliv pandemie na změny ukazatelů. Práce obsahuje úvod do teorie finanční analýzy a shrnutí protipandemických vládních opatření obou států a státních podpor v období pandemie. Pro analýzu byly vybrány následující ukazatele: rentabilita celkového kapitálu, obrat celkových aktiv, běžná likvidita, celková zadluženost, doba obratu pohledávek z obchodních vztahů, doba obratu závazků z obchodních vztahů a obchodní deficit. Z analýzy plyne, že v roce 2021 byla finanční situace lepší než v roce 2020. Rentabilita českých podniků byla během pandemie vyšší, nicméně v Německu byly vyšší efektivita využití aktiv, hodnoty běžné likvidity a kratší doba obratu pohledávek a závazků z obchodních vztahů. Výraznější byly v Německu pokles ziskovosti, ztráta efektivity využití aktiv a nárůst úrovně zadlužení, ačkoli protipandemická vládní opatření v Německu byla mírnější a státní podpory rozsáhlejší. Ukazatele doba obratu závazků z obchodních vztahů a celková zadluženost vykazují v obou státech velice obdobný vývoj. Největší rozdíly ve vývoji vykazují ukazatele obchodní deficit a rentabilita celkového kapitálu. Na základě regresní analýzy byl potvrzen vliv pandemie na změny rentability celkového kapitálu, doby obratu závazků z obchodních vztahů a obchodní deficit.

Abstract:

The thesis examines the impact of COVID-19 on the performance of companies in the Accommodation and food service activities sector in the Czech Republic and Germany by analysing changes in financial analysis ratios in 2020 and 2021 compared to 2019. The results for each country are then compared and the effect of the pandemic on changes in the indicators is tested using regression analysis. The thesis includes an introduction to the theory of financial analysis, a summary of anti-pandemic government measures in both countries and government support during the pandemic. The indicators selected for analysis are return on assets, total asset turnover, current liquidity, debt ratio, average collection period, days payable outstanding and trade deficit. The analysis shows that the financial situation in 2021 was better than in 2020. The rentability of Czech companies was higher during the pandemic, but German companies had higher asset utilisation efficiency, higher values of current liquidity and shorter average collection period and days payable outstanding. The decline in profitability, the loss of efficiency in asset utilisation, and the increase of total debt were more pronounced in Germany, although the government´s anti-pandemic measures in Germany were more moderate and government support more extensive. The indicators for days payable oustanding and debt ratio show very similar trends between countries. The trade deficit and return on assets indicators show the largest differences in development. Based on regression analysis, the effect of the pandemic on changes in return on assets, days payable outstanding and trade deficit was confirmed.
