Abstract:

Diplomová práce „Zohlednění učebních stylů v učebnicích angličtiny pro mladší žáky“ se v teoretické části zabývá učebními styly žáků a různými pohledy na ně. Práce je zaměřena zejména na učební styly členěné podle smyslového vnímání, čili vizuální, auditivní a kinestetický učební styl (VAK). Na základě těchto teoretických poznatků jsou v praktické části analyzovány učebnice, používané na 1. stupni základních škol při výuce angličtiny jako cizího jazyka. Nejedná se pouze o učebnice jako takové, ale i pracovní sešity, metodické příručky, obrazové, zvukové, ale i interaktivní materiály, které s učebnicí tvoří celek. Základ rozboru tvoří aktivity, navržené k výuce v metodických příručkách daných učebnic. Tyto aktivity jsou zařazeny do kategorií, odpovídajících jednotlivým učebním stylům a jsou shrnuty do grafů pro lepší přehlednost. Cílem práce je zjistit, zda autoři učebnic angličtiny pro mladší žáky při jejich tvorbě vzali v úvahu právě zmiňované učební styly a navrhli dostatek aktivit a cvičení pro všechny kategorie učebních stylů (VAK) tak, aby učitelům usnadnili práci s těmito materiály.

Abstract:

Diploma thesis „Accommodating learning styles in EFL coursebooks for young learners“ deals with learning styles and different views on categorising them. The thesis focuses mainly on learning styles based on sensory preferences, thus visual, auditory and kinaesthetic learning style (VAK). Based on this theoretical background the EFL coursebooks for young learners are analysed in the practical part of this thesis. Not the only single coursebooks are analysed. Also workbooks, teacher’s books, visual, audio and interactive aids that make the whole set with the coursebook. The analysis is based on the activities offered and designed in the teacher’s books belonging to the particular coursebooks. These activities are put into categories corresponding with the learning styles and are summarized into graphs to be more transparent. The aim of the thesis is to find out if the authors of the EFL coursebooks for young learners took into account the mentioned VAK learning styles and suggested efficient number of activities and exercises for all the categories of the learning styles to help teachers in working with their materials.
