Strategic Analysis of Emco spol. s r. o.

Abstract:

Cílem bakalářské práce je pomocí finanční analýzy odhalit příčiny nízkých zisků a vyhodnotit finanční situaci podniku Emco spol. s r. o. Současně pomocí dalších nástrojů pro strategickou analýzu odhalit silné stránky, slabé stránky, příležitosti a hrozby podniku a navrhnout vhodná doporučení, která budou znamenat další rozvoj společnosti. Práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část. V teoretické části jsou vysvětleny základní pojmy a metodické postupy, které jsou následně použity v praktické části na vybraný podnik. V úvodu praktické části je představen podnik Emco spol. s r. o. Následně jsou aplikovány metody analýzy vnitřního prostředí podniku, mezi které patří finanční analýza a VRIO analýza. Dále jsou využity metody pro analýzu okolí podniku, konkrétně PEST analýza a Porterův model pěti sil. Ze všech provedených analýz jsou vybrány nejpodstatnější silné stránky, slabé stránky, příležitosti a hrozby podniku, které jsou integrovány pomocí závěrečné SWOT analýzy. V závěru jsou navržena doporoučení pro budoucí rozvoj podniku.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis aims to use financial analysis to reveal the causes of low profits and evaluate the financial situation of the company Emco spol. s r. o. At the same time, using other tools for strategic analysis, identify the company's strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats and propose appropriate recommendations that will mean the further development of the company. The bachelor thesis is divided into the theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part explains the basic concepts and methodological procedures, which are then applied in the practical part to the selected company. At the beginning of the practical part, the company Emco spol. s r. o. is introduced. Subsequently, methods of analysis of the company's internal environment are applied, including financial analysis and VRIO analysis. Furthermore, methods for the analysis of the external environment of the company are used, namely PEST analysis and Porter's model of five forces. From all the performed analyses, the company's most significant strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats are selected and integrated using the final SWOT analysis. In the end, recommendations for the company's future development are proposed.
