Abstract:

Moderní podnikatelské prostředí má nestálou povahu. Změny podmínek na trhu vedly společnosti k vývoji různých modelů strategického řízení výkonnosti. Hlavním cílem diplomové práce je analyzovat využití moderních výkonnostních opatření a nástrojů k řešení organizačních změn a ke zlepšení provozní výkonnosti v automobilovém průmyslu. Současně práce analyzuje, jak mohou výkonnostní opatření snížit podnikatelské riziko. Dále je popsán vývoj systému měření výkonnosti (PMS) a je zmíněno využití těchto nástrojů na úrovni jednotlivců, subjektů a provozu jednotlivých podniků. Diplomová práce se zaměřuje na automobilový průmysl v Evropě, především na implementaci PMS ve firmě Volkswagen AG. Z analýzy vyplývá, že použití nástrojů pro měření výkonnosti, např. Performance Prism, může podnikům pomoci udržet finanční stabilitu a dlouhodobou konkurenceschopnost na trhu, zatímco systém operačního výkonu pomáhá nastavit klíčové ukazatele výkonu za účelem neustálého zlepšování. Začlenění principů risk managementu do systému PMS může pomoci podnikům zlepšit řízení organizačních rizik. Implementace nástrojů pro řízení a hodnocení rizik ISO 3100 pomohla podnikům lépe interpretovat a snižovat daná rizika. Otevřený a uzavřený systém zpětné vazby může být podpořen kvalitativními a kvantitativními daty pro identifikaci a integraci organizačních změn. Závěrem lze konstatovat, že zobecnění dokonalého měření výkonu je vzhledem k rozdílům v oboru podnikání poměrně náročné. Obecně ale platí, že výběrem správných metrik lze měření výkonu zefektivnit.

Abstract:

Modern business environment is volatile in nature. Changes in the market conditions have led companies to develop different models for strategic performance management. The diploma thesis focuses on the use of modern performance measurement tool in automotive industry. The main aim of the diploma thesis is to analyse the use of modern performance measures to tackle organisational changes and to improve operational performance in automotive industry. Likewise, the diploma thesis also analyses how performance measures can reduce the business risk. Firstly, the overview of the development of the performance measurement system (PMS) is analysed, and implementation of PMS tools under individual, entity and operating levels were discussed. Secondly, the diploma thesis analyses the automotive industry in Europe and the implementation of modern performance measurement tools in Volkswagen AG. From the analysis it was concluded that the use of performance measurement tool such as the performance prism can help businesses to maintain the financial stability and long-term operational success in a competitive market whereas operational performance system helps to set operational key performance indicators to enable continuous improvement. Similarly, the integration of the risk management in the performance measurement system can help business to improve organizational risk management. The implementation of risk management and evaluation tool ISO 3100 risk management standard helped businesses to interpret and improve the understanding of the risk for the continuous improvement of risk process. Furthermore, the open and closed feedback system can be supported by qualitative and quantitative data to identify and integrate the organisational changes. Finally, it is recommended that the generalization of the perfect performance measurement is quite challenging due to the differences in businesses, however by choosing the right performance metrics the performance measurement can be made more effective.
