Předkládaná diplomová práce se věnuje zkoumání voleb do Evropského parlamentu u deseti zemí, které vstoupily do Evropské unie v roce 2004. Teoretickým konceptem, který jsme v práci využili, je teorie voleb druhého řádu, předložená na počátku 80. let H. Schmittem a K. Reifem. Abstract:
The presented diploma thesis deals with European parliament elections in ten countries that joint the European Union in 2004. Theoretical concept, which we use in our thesis, is the theory of second order elections, presented at the beginning of the 80´s by H. Schmitt and K. Reif.
