This thesis deals with narrative techniques utilized in the short fiction of H. P. Lovecraft, with the consideration of author’s aesthetics perspectives as well as intertextuality. Intertextuality as such plays a very important role in Lovecraft’s literature and the aspects of narrative voice, tense and narrator are carefully chosen to complement it.
