The perception of support in search of the meaning of life of adolescents in institutional care

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá vnímáním podpory při hledání smyslu života adolescentů v ústavní výchově. Cílem práce je zjistit jak adolescenti a pracovníci percipují podporu poskytovanou adolescentům v ústavní výchově při hledání smyslu života, tedy zda a jak se jejich percepce liší. V teoretické části práce jsou vymezeny stěžejní pojmy, kterými jsou adolescence, smysl života, ústavní výchova a vnímání. Metodická část popisuje celkový metodický postup výzkumu, který byl založen na kvalitativní výzkumné strategii. Byl realizován formou polostrukturovaných rozhovorů se sedmi adolescenty a pěti pracovníky výchovného zařízení. Získaná data jsou analyzována a interpretována pomocí otevřeného a axiálního kódování v interpretační části práce. V závěru je zodpovězena hlavní výzkumná otázka.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the perception of support in search of the meaning of life of adolescents in institutional care. The goal of the thesis was to discover how adolescents and employees perceive the support provided to adolescents in institutional care in search of the meaning of life, i.e. if and how does their perception differ. In the theoretical part of this thesis, key terminology is defined: adolescence, meaning of life, institutional care and perception. The methodology describes the complete methodical process of research which was based on the qualitative research strategy. It was carried out by semi-structured interviews with seven adolescents and five employees of the educational facility. The obtained data are analyzed and interpreted using open and axial coding in the interpretative part of the thesis. The main research question is answered in the final part of this thesis.
