Pohraniční regiony patří mezi periferní oblasti státu, a proto se tam objevuje řada problémů, mezi které patří též úbytek některých služeb. Border regions are among the peripheral areas of the state and therefore there are a number of problems, including the loss of some services. Healthcare plays a special role, as the right to health is also one of the basic human rights. In the 1990s, Euroregions were emerged at the borders of Central European countries.
