Opportunities for extending the export trade of specific company

Abstract:

Předložená práce se zabývá problematikou zahraničního obchodu. V první části jsou představeny přínosy a rizika firem, které se zahraničního obchodu účastní. Práce se zaměřuje zejména na vývozní obchodní operace, její přípravnou fází a analýzou zahraničních trhů. V práci jsou představeny způsoby analyzování trhů a faktory prostředí, kterými se analýza zabývá. Součástí práce je vývoj metodiky hodnocení trhů, která bude následně použita pro potřeby vybrané společnosti. Tato společnost, zabývající se výrobou šumivých vín, je představena v následující části práce spolu se svými současnými exportními aktivitami a exportním potenciálem svých výrobků. Klíčovou částí práce je tvorba scoring modelu ve spolupráci se zahraničním oddělením firmy, který bude sloužit pro hodnocení exportních možností podle předem zvolených požadavků. Metodika je poté aplikována na tři zahraniční trhy. Na základě výsledků vytvořeného modelu autorka vybere cílový trh, který je nejvhodnější variantou pro export produktů. V závěru práce je zpracován návrh vývozní obchodní operace na zvolený trh za pomoci marketingového mixu. Práce by měla sloužit jako podklad pro rozhodnutí firmy o její budoucí expanzi na nový zahraniční trh.

Abstract:

This Master Thesis is focused on the foreign trade. In the first part are introduced the advantages and risks that companies face while doing international business operations. This thesis particularly concentrates on export business operation, its preparatory phase and the analysis of foreign markets. In this thesis there are mentioned various methods of analysing foreign markets with existing factors that influence the analysis. Part of this thesis is the developement of methodology used for evaluation of foreign markets, which will be subsequently used for specific company. This sparkling wine producing company is introduced in following part of the thesis, along with its current export activities and export potential of its products. The key part of this thesis is the creation of scoring model, which was carried out in close collaboration with export department of the company. The model should be used for the assessment of export trade opportunities by pre-selected requirements. The scoring model is then applied to three foreign markets. Based on the results of the model, the author selects a target market that is the most suitable for export of company´s products. In the conclusion is suggested draft proposal of export business operation on selected market using the marketing mix. This thesis should serve to specific company as a support tool for decision making processes about future expansion to foreign markets.
