Effectiveness of Internal Communication Channels

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá efektivitou nástrojů interní komunikace průmyslových divizí společnosti XY. Cílem je zmapovat současnou podobou interní komunikace v divizích A&B, zjistit informovanost zaměstnanců, definovat nástroje, které jsou zaměstnanci považovány za nejefektivnější, a přinést návrhy pro případná zlepšení. Práce je rozdělena na teoretickou, praktickou a projektovou část. V teoretické jsou definovány základní pojmy marketingové komunikace, interní komunikace, firemní kultury a marketingového výzkumu. V praktické části je představena firma XY, interní komunikace jejích průmyslových divizí, provedena analýza individuálních hloubkových rozhovorů s managementem divizí a vyhodnocen dotazník zjišťující současný stav interní komunikace v divizích A&B. Na základě závěrů z kvalitativní a kvantitativní sondy jsou projektové části práce navrženy kroky k zefektivnění nástrojů v interní komunikaci.

Abstract:

This thesis focuses on the effectiveness of internal communications channels in the industrial divisions of company XY. Main goal of the thesis is to map current situation of internal communication in A&B divisions, find out present-day informedness of divisions' employees, define tools which are considered by aforementioned employees to be the most useful and effective and design eventual improvements. Paper is divided into three parts theoretical, practical and project. Basic terms of marketing communications, internal communications, company culture and marketing research are defined in the theoretical section. Company XY is presented afterwards in the practical part, including internal communications of its divisions. These communications are analyzed using in-depth individual interviews with divisions' management and questionnaire for divisions' employees which examines current situation of internal communications through their eyes. In the last project part of the paper improvements are designed based on the findings of both qualitative and quantitative analyses to make internal communications tools more effective.
