Předmětem diplomové práce je prozkoumání fenoménu malých a středních měst v metropolitním zázemí. První část práce se věnuje zasazení tématu práce do kontextu výzkumu sídelní geografie a metropolitních regionů. The theme of the diploma thesis is an inspection of the phenomena of small and medium-sized towns within the metropolitan hinterland. In the first part we focus on the theme of the thesis in context of settlement geography and metropolitan regions. In the second part we compare 2 concrete metropolitan areas in the Czech republic.
