Managerial Competencies of Students at ZSF JU

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá tím, jaké mají manažerské kompetence studující na ZSF JU. Cílem bylo zjistit manažerské kompetence studujících na ZSF JU. Byla zvolena výzkumná otázka: Jaké manažerské kompetence mají studující magisterského studia na ZSF JU? Dále byly vytvořeny dvě hypotézy. První hypotéza zní: Manažerské kompetence u studijních programů Management sociální práce v organizacích a Ošetřovatelství ve vybraných klinických oborech se neliší. Hypotéza dvě tvrdí, že studující kombinované formy studia mají manažerské kompetence větší než studující denní formy studia. Práce je rozdělena na dvě části - teoretickou a praktickou. Teoretická část je zaměřena na vysvětlení základních pojmů a mimo jiné na vysvětlení pojmu management, manažer, vlastnosti manažera a další pojmy spojené s tímto tématem. Například jsou vysvětleny pojmy jako znalosti a dovednosti. Pro výzkum byla zvolena kvantitativní výzkumná strategie, metoda dotazník a technika standardizovaný dotazník. Výzkumný soubor tvořilo celkem 113 studujících. Dotazník byl vyhodnocen pomocí T-testu - pro dva nezávislé soubory v programu SPSS. Ze získaných dat byly vytvořeny tabulky a grafy. Obě zvolené hypotézy byly potvrzeny. Dále je z výzkumné části patrné, že studující se cítí sebejistě zejména v těchto kompetencích - komunikační dovednosti, vytváření a poskytování prezentací, péče o klienty, plánování a vedení schůzek, uplatňování společenské odpovědnosti, řízení vztahů, efektivní využívání IT zařízení, vlastní rozvoj a sebeovládání, motivace a vedení týmu či vzdělávání a rozvoj ostatních. Přínosem této práce by mohlo být zamyšlení se studujících nad jejich vlastními kompetencemi, které budou potřebovat při výkonu práce na manažerských pozicích. Mohli by si uvědomit, kterými kompetencemi disponují, které je potřeba dále rozvíjet a popřípadě, kterými kompetencemi nedisponují vůbec.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis focuses on the managerial competencies of students at ZSF JU. The aim was to find out the managerial competencies of these students. The research question was: What managerial competencies do master's students at ZSF JU have? Two hypotheses were developed. The first hypothesis is that managerial competencies in the study programmes Management of Social Work in Organizations and Nursing in Selected Clinical Fields do not differ. The second hypothesis states that students of combined forms of study have better managerial competencies than those who study full-time forms of study. The work is divided into two parts - theoretical and practical. The theoretical part is focused on explaining the basic terms. It deals with explaining the concept of management, manager, manager's characteristics and other terms related to this topic. For instance, terms such as knowledge and skills are explained. A quantitative research strategy, a questionnaire method and a standardized questionnaire technique were chosen for the research. The research group consisted of 113 students. The questionnaire was evaluated using a T-test - for two independent files in the SPSS programme. From the obtained data, tables and graphs were created. Both selected hypotheses were confirmed. Furthermore, it is clear from the research that students feel confident especially in these competencies - communication skills, creating and providing presentations, client care, planning and conducting meetings, applying social responsibility, relationship management, effective usage of IT equipment, self-development and self-control, motivation and team leadership or education and development of others. The benefit this thesis could bring is the reflection of students on their own competencies, which they will need when performing work in managerial positions. They could realize which competencies they have, which need to be further developed and which competencies they do not have at all.
