Novice Teacher and ICT

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá vnímáním informačních a komunikačních technologií začínajícími učiteli na základní škole. Jedná se o práci teoreticko-empirickou. Teoretická část je rozdělena na šest částí. První obsahuje vymezení základního pojmu informační a komunikační technologie. Dále je podána charakteristika implementace ICT do vzdělávání, a to v rovině národních strategických dokumentů. Následně jsou popsány vybrané pedagogické teorie a jejich souvislost s ICT, konkrétně vzdělávání a výuka s podporou ICT. Čtvrtá část akcentuje digitální kompetence začínajících učitelů. V šesté kapitole je definován pojem začínající učitel a adaptační období v jeho první profesní praxi. Empirická část shrnuje výsledky kvalitativního výzkumu, který byl zaměřen na to, jak vnímají informační a komunikační technologie začínající učitelé ve své každodenní práci na základní škole. Cílem práce bylo zjištění a popsání jednotlivých vyjádřených jevů souvisejících se začínajícími učiteli a ICT a přispění k diskusi na téma začínající učitelé a jejich náhled na informační a komunikační technologie.

Abstract:

In this thesis I deal with the perception of information and communication technologies by novice teachers in everyday work at primary school. This is about a theroretic-empirical thesis. The theoretic part is divided into six parts. The first part contains identifying basic term of information and communication technologies. Furthermore, it presents the characteristic of ICT implementation to education at the level of national strategy paper. Subsequently, I composed the selected pedagogical theories and their relation to ICT foucusing on education and teaching with ICT support. The fourth part underlines the digital competence of novice teachers in elementary schools. The anyther part of the thesis covers with the opportunity of ICT application in the current school. All the focus is on functional aspect of ICT use in teaching. In sixth chapter the term of an novice teacher and an adjustment period in teacher´s first professional practise is defined. The empirical part of the thesis summarizes the results of qualitative research, that has been focused on ICT perception by novice teachers in elementary schools. This thesis was aimed to make a survey and a description of every single fomulated phenomena related to novice teachers and ICT. Next, the goal is to contribute the discussion about novice teachers and their view of information and communication technologies.
