The Impacts of February 1948 on the J. K. Tyl Theatre in Pilsen
Abstract:
Tato práce se zabývá českým divadelním životem po druhé světové válce (zejména v období první poloviny padesátých let). Hlavní část se zaměřuje na dějiny divadla J. K. Tyla po únoru 1948 a ukazuje, jak byla česká kultura ovlivněna komunistickou kulturní politikou.
Abstract:
The thesis focuses on the Czech theatre production in the period after the World War II (especially in the first half of the fifties). The main part of this thesis deals with the history of The J. K. Tyl Theatre in Pilsen after February 1948 during a directorship of Zdeněk Hofbauer and it demonstrates how the cultur was influenced by the communist cultural politics.
