Audience development of cultural centre

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce pojednává o práci s publikem kulturního centra UFFO na představení nového typu divadla. Cílem práce je zjištění, které z benefitů instituce jsou hlavní motivací k návštěvě programu Nového divadla, a přiblížení vnímání nového divadla jeho diváky. Teoretická část práce se zaměřuje na terminologii marketingu kultury a jejích specifik, a blíže se seznamuje s problematikou práce s publikem a jejím vývojem v České republice; rovněž byl čtenáři přiblížen pojem „nové divadlo“. Výzkum vychází z primárních dat sesbíraných pomocí dotazníkového šetření a osobního rozhovoru s ředitelem kulturního centra. Výsledky jsou zanalyzovány pomocí Metodiky pro optimalizaci benefitů nabízených kulturní institucí sestavenou vědeckým týmem Katedry Marketingu VŠE. Přínosem práce je hlubší poznání návštěvníků nového typu divadla a vymezení hlavních benefitů k návštěvě tohoto programu.

Abstract:

The subject of this bachelor thesis is working with the audience of the cultural centre UFFO on the performance of a new type of theatre. The aim of the thesis is to determine which benefits of the institution are the main motivation for visiting the New Theatre program, and to study the perception of the new type of theatre by its audience. The theoretical part of the thesis focuses on the terminology of cultural marketing and its specifics, and examines in more detail the topic of working with the audience and its development in the Czech Republic; the concept of "the new type of theatre" is also explained to the reader. The research is based on primary data collected through a questionnaire survey and a personal interview with the director of the cultural centre. The results are analyzed using the Methodology for Optimizing Benefits Offered by Cultural Institutions compiled by the scientific team of the Department of Marketing at Prague University of Economics and Business. The contribution of the thesis is a deeper understanding of visitors to the new type of theatre and the delineation of the main benefits of visiting this program.
