Design and verification of the budget for SMEs

Abstract:

Předmět mé diplomové práce je konstrukce a ověření rozpočtu malého podniku. Psaním této diplomové práce jsem se zároveň pokusil získat praktickou zkušenost ve finančním managementu a rozhodování. Hlavním cílem této diplomové práce je sestavit pro skutečný nadační fond Pomoc Potřebným (jméno je v této práci v souladu s instrukcemi předsedy představenstva změněno) podnikatelský plán včetně naplánování rozpočtu (z časových důvodů příprav této práce je rozpočet připraven na nezvyklé období od 1.9.2014 do 28.2.2015) a následně jej po uplynutí tohoto období zhodnotit. Práci jsem rozdělil do dvou ucelených částí: teoretické, popisující dosud publikované poznatky různých autorů a stanovující operativní strategie, a praktické, ve které popisuji přípravu podnikatelského plánu se zaměřením na rozpočet daného období a následně jeho porovnání se skutečností. Vycházel jsem z pracovní hypotézy, že se připravený rozpočet nebude lišit od skutečnosti o více než 10%. Cíl se podařilo splnit a vzhledem k tomu, že se jednalo o plánování poměrně krátkého období a k tomu, že náplně nadačního fondu Pomoc jsou dobře předvídatelné, má hypotéza se potvrdila.

Abstract:

The subject of my thesis is construction and verification of the budget of a small enterprise. By writing the theses I would like to gain practical experience in finance management and decision making. The main aim of my thesis is to create a business plan that contains the budget for the period of Sep. 2014 to Feb. 2015 of a really existing non-profit organization Pomoc Potřebným (the name of the organization was changed in accordance to instruction of the Chairman of the Board) and to evaluate the budget after the period ends. The work has been divided into two integrated parts: the theoretical part, describing and defining operational strategies and the practical part where I describe the business plan preparation focusing on the budget and its comparison with the reality. My working hypotheses was the reality won’t deviate from the budget by more than 10%. The goal has been achieved and the hypotheses has been proven to be valid.
