Práce má za cíl analyzovat jednotlivé prvky systému zdravotnictví 45. prezidenta Spojených států amerických, Donalda Trumpa a srovnat je se systémem zdravotnictví bývalého prezidenta Baracka Obamy. Ve své první části se práce zabývá systémem zdravotnictví v USA, jeho reformami od počátku 20. století až po přelomovou reformu Baracka Obamy, Zákon o ochraně pacientů a dostupné péči (PPACA).
