Evaluation of the cardiopulmonary resuscitation quality prior to the arrival of the cardiopulmonary resuscitation team in hospital

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá hodnocením kvality kardiopulmonální resuscitace v nemocnicích, kterou poskytují zdravotničtí pracovníci, kteří nejsou součástí resuscitačních týmů na území města Ostravy. Toto hodnocení prováděli zdravotničtí pracovníci, kteří jsou součástí resuscitačních tymů daných nemocnic. Teoretická část této práce je zaměřena na kardiopulmonální resuscitaci a její dvě hlavní formy a to základní neodkladnou resuscitaci a rozšířenou neodkladnou resuscitaci. Dále obsahuje doporučení, kdy nezahájit a případně ukončit kardiopulmonální resuscitaci a na závěr hlavní přehled změn guidelines 2015 vůči předchozím guidelines 2010. Praktická část pomocí dotazníkového šetření zjišťuje úroveň znalostí zdravotnických pracovníků, kteří jsou součástí resuscitačních týmů na území města Ostravy o kardiopulmonální resuscitaci, což je i hlavní cíl této práce. Následně členové resuscitačních týmů hodnotí kvalitu kardiopulmonální resuscitace zdravotnických pracovníků, kteří nejsou součástí resuscitačních týmů daných nemocnic. Z tohoto hodnocení pak vychází i hodnocení faktorů, které se mohou vyskytnout u zásahů vyžadujících kardiopulmonální resuscitaci, jako jsou faktory zvyšující míru stresu, existence přehmatů či nesprávně zvolených postupů, hodnocení dostatečnosti počtu školení kardiopulmonální resuscitace u ?neodborníků? a současně návrhy pro zlepšení teoretických a praktických dovedností těchto pracovníků.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis discusses evaluation of cardiopulmonary resuscitation quality in hospitals provided by medical staff who are not members of medical emergency teams in Ostrava city. The evaluation was carried out by members of medical emergency teams of the given hospitals. The theoretical part of this paper focuses on cardiopulmonary resuscitation and its two forms: basic life support and advanced life support. It also contains recommendations as to when it is not advisable to commence resuscitation, or when resuscitation should be stopped. Finally, there is an outline of the main changes made in guidelines 2015 as opposed to guidelines 2010. The practical part uses questionnaire survey to evaluate the level of cardiopulmonary resuscitation knowledge of members of medical emergency teams in Ostrava city, which is also the main objective of this paper. Next, members of medical emergency teams evaluate the quality of cardiopulmonary resuscitation provided by medical staff who are not members of medical emergency teams of the given hospitals. The findings are used for evaluating the factors which can arise during rescues when cardiopulmonary resuscitation is necessary, such as factors increasing the level of stress, occurrence of errors or wrongly chosen processes, for evaluating whether the number of cardiopulmonary resuscitation trainings for non - professionals is appropriate, and also for suggestions to improve theoretical and practical skills of such workers.
