Tax treatment and related accounting specifics of a sports club

Abstract:

Cílem mé diplomové práce je analýza daňového režimu sportovních organizací, popis relevantních daní a souvisejících účetních specifik, rozbor daňového a účetního režimu sportovního klubu SK Pohyb a vypracování doporučení pro daňovou optimalizaci. Práce je rozdělena na pět hlavních kapitol. V první kapitole popisuji základní pojmy a rozděluji národní hospodářství na ziskový a neziskový sektor. V následujících kapitolách rozebírám daňový a účetní režim sportovních klubů a uvádím specifika, na které je potřeba se soustředit. V poslední, teoretické části, ověřuji správnost daňového režimu a účetnictví sportovního klubu SK Pohyb a odhaluji nejvýznamnější chyby, kterých se klub v této souvislosti dopouští. Hlavním přínosem práce je vypracování doporučení pro správné vedení a vylepšení systému účetnictví s ohledem na daňovou optimalizaci klubu a minimalizaci rizika nesouhlasu ze strany finančního úřadu.

Abstract:

The aim of my diploma thesis is the analysis of the tax regime of sports clubs, description of relevant taxes and related accounting specifics, assessment of tax regime and accounting procedures of the sports club SK Pohyb and elaboration of recommendation for the tax optimisation. The thesis is divided into five main chapters. The first chapter describes the basic concepts and divide national economy to profit and non-profit sector. The following parts deals with analysis of tax and accounting regime of a sports club and mention of specifics, that sports clubs need to concentrate on. In the last, theoretical part, I verified the tax regime and accounting procedures applied in SK Pohyb and detected major faults made. The main contribution of the diploma thesis is the recommendation for effective and correct accounting procedure with regard to the tax optimisation and minimisation of potential disagreement with the Tax Office.
