The prevention of educational shortcomings of children with special educational needs at preschool age

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá výskytem deficitů dílčích funkcí u dětí se speciálními vzdělávacími potřebami v mateřské škole z hlediska identifikace, prevence a optimální stimulace odstranění těchto nedostatků. Práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část. První kapitola teoretické části popisuje vývoj dítěte předškolního věku v klíčových oblastech, jež jsou rozvíjeny v rodinném prostředí i mateřské škole. Následující kapitola uvádí možnosti vzdělávání dětí se speciálními vzdělávacími potřebami, narušenou komunikační schopnost u dětí předškolního věku vzhledem k výběru výzkumného vzorku a specifika vzdělávání dětí se speciálními vzdělávacími potřebami. Třetí kapitola vymezuje terminologii deficitů dílčích funkcí, jejich úlohu z hlediska školní zralosti a připravenosti. Dále vyjmenovává deficity dílčích funkcí dle Brigitte Sindelarové a popisuje diagnostické testy identifikující deficity dílčích funkcí u dětí předškolního věku. Praktická část obsahuje cíle výzkumného šetření, použité metody, charakterizuje výzkumný vzorek, uvádí případové studie výzkumného vzorku. Kvalitativní výzkum analyzuje a popisuje dosaženou úroveň v deseti vývojových oblastech klíčových pro úspěšný vstup do základní školy, a to s pěti měsíčním odstupem. Získaná data jsou interpretována v závěru výzkumu, kde na základě vyhodnocení výsledků výzkumného šetření jsou navrženy činnosti pro další rozvoj v praxi.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with the occurrence of deficits of partial functions in children with special educational needs in kindergarden in terms of identification, prevention and optimal stimulation of elimination of these deficits. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The first chapter of the theoretical part describes the development of the preschool child in key areas that are developed in the family environment and in the kindergarden. The following chapter presents the possibilities of education of children with special educational needs, impaired communication skills in preschool children due to the selection of the research sample and the specifics of education of children with special educational needs. The third chapter defines the terminology of sub-function deficits, their role in terms of school maturity and readiness. It also lists the deficits of sub-functions according to Brigitte Sindelar and describes diagnostic tests identifying deficits of sub-functions in preschool children. The practical part contains the objectives of the research investigation, the methods used, characterizes the research sample, and presents case studies of the research sample. The qualitative research analyses and describes the achievement levels in ten developmental domains key to successful entry into primary school, five months apart. The data collected is interpreted at the conclusion of the research, where activities for further development in practice are suggested based on the evaluation of the research findings.
