Impact of the Natural and Migration?s Dynamics on the Demographic Structure of Inhabitants of the District Ostrava

Abstract:

Cílem této bakalářské práce je posoudit vliv přirozené reprodukce a migrační dynamiky na demografickou strukturu obyvatel okresu Ostrava-město v letech 1970-2005. Práce se člení na teoretickou a praktickou část. V teoretické části jsou vysvětleny základní pojmy, dynamika obyvatelstva, demografické procesy a struktura obyvatelstva. Taktéž jsou popsány použité metody a vymezeno území sledovaných obcí. Ve druhé části, praktické, je prostřednictvím Webbovy metody a metody modelování věkových struktur posuzován vliv přirozené a migrační dynamiky na věkovou strukturu obyvatel v jednotlivých obcích. Sledovaný časový úsek je rozdělen na pětiletá období. Praktickou část jsem doplnila o grafy věkových pyramid, vždy za roky 1970 a 2001. V závěru své práce potvrdím nebo vyvrátím hypotézy navržené v úvodní části. V příloze jsou obsaženy tabulky bilancí obyvatelstva za jednotlivé obce, tabulky s výpočty indexů a koeficientů stáří a mladosti a taktéž přehled vývoje průměrného věku.

Abstract:

The thesis objective is to assess natural reproduction impact as well as migration dynamics implications on demographic structure of residents living in the district of the Ostrava-City in the years 1970 to 2005. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The first one gives an explanation of basic terms, population dynamics, demographic processes and population structure. It also describes the methods used and defines territories of concerned urban areas. The other part deals with assessing of natural and migration dynamics impact on age population structure in particular towns or villages, using Webb?s method and age structures modeling methods. Period under review has been divided into five-year periods. Age pyramid graphs illustrating development in years 1970 to 2001 have also been added to the practical part of the thesis. In conclusion, I confirm or disapprove hypothesis stated in the introductory part. The supplement encompasses population overall result tables on each town or village, tables with indexes calculations and age and youth coefficients as well as average age evolution survey.
