Eating Disorders in the Context of Social Work

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce seznamuje čtenáře se stěžejními aspekty poruch příjmu potravy(s ohledem na základní zástupce ? mentální anorexii a bulimii). Ty se posléze snaží začlenit do kontextu sociální práce. Práce mapuje poznatky o poruchách příjmu potravy z psychologické a především sociální stránky. První kapitoly jsou zaměřeny na klasifikaci poruch příjmu potravy, mentální anorexii a bulimii. Následující dvě kapitoly se zaměřují na sociální práci s touto cílovou skupinou a poukazují na tři stěžejní terapie, a to rodinnou terapii, kognitivně-behaviorální terapii a Rogersovu terapii. V aplikační části této práce je vypracován návrh projektu ? žádost o finanční dotaci pro realizaci konference na téma poruch příjmu potravy. Tato konference má v rámci primární prevence přispět ke zvýšení povědomí o dané problematice jak u studentů, sociálních pracovníků, tak široké veřejnosti.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis introduces the reader into the key aspects of eating disorders (with the description of the basic representatives - anorexia nervosa and bulimia) and their integration into the context of social work. This thesis explores the knowledge about eating disorders from psychological and especially social work sites. The first chapter is focused on the classification of eating disorders, anorexia nervosa and bulimia. The next two chapters are focused on social work with this target group and identified three important therapies - namely family therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy and Rogers?s therapy. In the application part of this thesis is the draft of a project - the request for a financial support for the realization of a conference on the topic of eating disorders. This conference on primary prevention should raise awareness of the eating disorders for students, social workers and the general public.
