Neuropsychological strain of nurses at internal ward

Abstract:

Cíl: Cílem mé bakalářské práce bylo zmapovat výskyt neuropsychické zátěže u všeobecných sester na interních odděleních. Objasnit možné faktory ovlivňující tuto zátěž a zjistit, zda se liší stupeň neuropsychické zátěže u všeobecných sester na jednotlivých interních odděleních. Metodika: Výzkumný soubor tvořilo 67 všeobecných sester pracujících v Městské nemocnici Ostrava na I., II. a III. Interním oddělení. Pro získání dat byla použita metoda anonymního dotazníkového šetření (leden - únor 2010), jehož součástí byl standardizovaný dotazník W. Meistera - Percepce pracovní zátěže. Výsledky: Z výsledků průzkumného šetření vyplynulo, že všeobecné sestry pracující na I., II. a III. Interním oddělení Městské nemocnice Ostrava mají shodně stupeň pracovní zátěže č. 2, čili zátěž, při které může pravidelně docházet k dočasnému ovlivnění subjektivního stavu resp. výkonnosti. Při vyhodnocení faktoru přetížení bylo zjištěno, že nejčastěji trápí sestry při práci pocit časového tlaku a vysoká pracovní zodpovědnost. Podle hodnocení faktoru monotonie sestry nacházejí uspokojení ve své profesi. Poslední ze tří faktorů poukázal na nemožnost vykonávat práci sestry na interním oddělení po léta se stejnou výkonností. 1/3 respondentů někdy přemýšlela o změně oddělení, a to nejčastěji z důvodu stresu nebo časté obměny pracovního kolektivu. Avšak o odchodu ze zdravotnictví uvažuje necelá 1/8 dotázaných. Závěr: Ze získaných výsledků je patrné, že mezi sledovanými soubory nejsou rozdíly ve vyhodnocení stupně pracovní zátěže. Vysoká psychická pracovní zátěž může vyvolat zdravotní obtíže, snižuje pracovní výkonnost a naopak zvyšuje nebezpečí pracovních úrazů.

Abstract:

Objective: The goal of my bachelor thesis was to explore the occurrence of neuropsychological strain for general nurses in the internal wards, to clarify possible factors influencing this strain and to determine whether there are different degrese of neuropsychological strains for the nurses on the individual internal wards. Methodology: The research group consisted of 67 general nurses working in Ostrava General Hospital in the I., II., III. internal wards. For data aquisition method was used an anonymous survey (January - February 2010), part of which was the standardized survey of W. Meister - The perception of workload. Results: The exploratory investigation showed that the general nurses working in I., II., III. internal ward in Ostrava General Hospital have an identical degree of workload number 2, or load which can regularly occur, temporarily influencing the subjective state of performance. In the evaluation of the overload factors was found that the nurses were most often bothered by the time pressure and the high work responsibility. According to the evaluation factor monotony the nurses find satisfaction in their profession. The last of the three factors showed the impossibility of the nurses to execute their work in the internal wards a year ahead with the same performance. 1/3 of the respondents sometimes think to change the ward and the most often reason for this is the stress and the often of change of the co-workers. But only 1/8 of the people who were asked are actually thinking to leave the medical job. Conclusion: From the results is obvious that in the reference files there is no difference in the evaluation of the degree of the workload. The high psychical workload can trigger health problems, can slow down the work performance and at the same time it increases the risk of work accidents.
