The main purpose of the work is to map the occurrence of rhetorical devices in the language of political discourse. The principal figures are metaphor, metonymy, simile, synecdoche and hyperbole. Bakalářská práce ?Jazykové figury v politických projevech? se týká světa politiky a vyjadřování politiků. Hlavním cílem práce je vyhodnocení výskytu řečnických figur v politickém diskursu. Mezi nejdůležitější figury patří metafora, metonymie, přirovnání, synekdocha a hyperbola, které budou v této práci jednotlivě uvedeny a projednány.
