Abstract:

Anotace Diplomová práce „Komparace tradičních a alternativních výukových metod ve výuce anglického jazyka na druhém stupni ZŠ“ pojednává o problematice výuky anglického jazyka na druhém stupni základních škol. Zabývá se především oblastí slovní zásoby, gramatiky a porozumění textu. V teoretické části jsou obsaženy definice a klasifikace vyučovacích metod a jejich komplexní přehled. U každé metody výuky anglického jazyka je uveden stručný nástin její historie, postavení žáka a učitele ve výuce, cíle, na něž klade metoda důraz a techniky, se kterými vyučovací metoda pracuje. V empirické části zkoumám efektivitu tradičních a alternativních metod výuky slovní zásoby, gramatiky a porozumění textu anglického jazyka. Zkoumaný vzorek přestavují žáci druhého stupně základní školy, kteří již ovládají základy anglického jazyka. Nejde tedy o úplné začátečníky, ale o mírně pokročilé. Na základě principů a cílů daných metod jsem vytvořila cvičení a hry, které jsem osobně vyzkoušela v praxi. Účinnost zvolených metod jsem se pokusila zjistit prostřednictvím didaktických testů. Praktický přínos diplomové práce zahrnuje rozbor získaných dat z provedeného šetření, návrh cvičení a her pro výuku slovní zásoby, gramatiky a porozumění textu, které odpovídají vybraným vyučovacím metodám a nejlépe u žáků podporují rozvoj výše zmíněných jazykových schopností. Za cíl mé diplomové práce si kladu nabídnout učitelům anglického jazyka komparaci efektivity tradičních a alternativních metod a náměty pro cvičení a hry, které pomohou zvýšit efektivitu výuky anglického jazyka na druhém stupni základní školy.

Abstract:

Annotation Diploma thesis “The comparison of traditional and alternative teaching methods of English at lower secondary schools” deals with problem of teaching English vocabulary, grammar and comprehension text at upper primary schools. The theoretical part consists of definitions and classification of English teaching methods and the complex survey of teaching methods used in English. Each method is compiled due to its history and development, roles of a pupil and a teacher in education, teaching goals and specific techniques and exercises used within a method. The empirical part deals with the effectiveness of traditional and alternative methods in teaching vocabulary, grammar and comprehension text. The research has been done on pupils of upper primary school who are aware of the basic knowledge of English language. I created various exercises and games based on principles and goals of chosen methods. I myself made a practice of the proposed teaching methods. I tried to find out the effectiveness of the teaching methods by the evaluation of the pupils´ didactic tests. The practical contribution of the diploma thesis includes my proposal of teaching methods, the analysis of the obtained data of the research and the recommendation of the appropriate exercises and games which correspond to the proposed teaching methods and support the pupils´ acquisition of vocabulary, grammar rules and development of comprehension text skills in the best way. The aim of my diploma thesis is to offer to teachers of English language teaching methods that contribute to the increase of the effectiveness of upper primary pupils´ acquisition of English language.
