Probiotika se v poslední době často používají jako doplňky stravy jak u člověka, tak u zvířat. Díky příznivým účinkům na zdravotní stav se začala používat i jako podpůrná léčba u různých gastrointestinálních onemocnění u psů. Probiotics are recently use as food supplements in humans and in animals. Because they have beneficial effect on health, it has also been used as a supportive treatment for various gastrointestinal diseases in dog.
