Verba dicendi and their Czech equivalents. A corpus-based translation analysis.
Abstract:
The aim of this thesis is to describe and analyse German and Czech Verba Dicendi from a linguistic and translatological point of view. This heterogenous semantic group has various functions in literary texts, therefore their translation is significant. This thesis asks the question if Verba Dicendi are equivalently translated or if replacements are required.
Abstract:
Cílem této diplomové práce je popsat a analyzovat z lingvistického a translatologického hlediska německá a česká verba dicendi. Tato nesourodá sémantická skupina sloves plní v literárních textech nejednu důležitou funkci, a proto je jejich překlad významný. Práce si klade za otázku, zda se verba dicendi překládají ekvivalentně nebo dochází k posunům.
