Methods of Selection of Information System

Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá procesem výběru informačních systémů (aplikací) a metodami jejich výběru. Práce se též věnuje častým chybám, kterých se podniky a jejich manažeři dopouštějí při výběru informačních systémů. Celá práce je zaměřena na malé a střední podniky. V teoretické části se rozebírají stěžejní pojmy, postup výběru, metody vícekriteriálního rozhodování a časté chyby rozhodovatelů. V praktické části se aplikují tři metody výběru na konkrétní podnik a nalézá se pro něj na trhu vhodné řešení dle jeho požadavků. Dále byla na základě rozhovorů se sedmi odborníky na informační systémy sestavena řada doporučení, které malým a středním podnikům mohou sloužit pro vyvarování se častým chybám, kterých se při výběru dopouštějí.

Abstract:

The thesis focuses on a process of selection of information systems (applications) and methods of their selection. It explores common mistakes, which businesses and their managers make when they select an information system. Overall, the research is focused on small and medium-sized enterprises. The main terms, the steps of selection, the methods of multi-criteria decision analysis and the common mistakes of decision makers are analysed in the theoretical part. In the practical part, three methods of selection are used in a particular enterprise. Consequently, a suitable solution for the company was selected. A group of recommendations was constructed on the basis of the interviews with seven experts on information systems. These recommendations can be used in small and medium-sized enterprises as a prevention of common mistakes that could be made in the process of selection.
