The analysis of commercial banks revenues

Abstract:

Hlavním tématem bakalářské práce jsou výnosy komerčních bank. Podstatným zdrojem informací o bankách působících na našem trhu jsou výroční zprávy bank, a účetní závěrky jako jejich součást. V úvodní části práce jsou tedy charakterizovány jednotlivé výkazy, které do účetní závěrky patří. Dále se práce zabývá třemi bankami působícími na našem trhu -- jednou velkou bankou, jednou střední a jednou malou bankou. Cílem je především analýza jejich výnosů. Práce podrobně rozebírá jednotlivé složky výnosů, zabývá se jejich výší a porovnává je. Dalším bodem jsou náklady vybraných bank a jejich jednotlivé součásti. V závěru jsou analyzované výnosy a náklady shrnuty do podoby zisku a je popsán vývoj zisku vybraných bank v posledních letech.

Abstract:

The main topic of this bachelor thesis are revenues of commercial banks. Important source of information about banks are annual reports, and financial statements as their part, therefore in the opening section of the thesis is characteristic of particular parts which belong to the financial statements. Further ahead the thesis studies three banks running a business in the Czech Republic -- a big, a middle sized and a small bank. The aim is to analyse their revenues in the first place. The thesis studies particular parts of revenues in detail, examines their value and compares them. The expenses of chosen banks and their parts are examined in the next chapter. In the conclusion, analysed revenues and expenses are brought together into the profit and profit development in recent years is described.
