Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá poměrně novým fenoménem ve vzdělávání – učitelskými naracemi. Skládá se z teoretické a praktické části. Teoretická část nabízí charakteristiku učitelské profese a popisuje aspekty učitelství se zaměřením na výuku angličtiny jako cizího jazyka. Dále se zabývá popisem jednotlivých vyučovacích stylů a jejich rolí ve výchovně vzdělávacím procesu. Jedna kapitola poskytuje informace o dalším vzdělávání a vývoji učitelů, jeho důvodech a významu pro učitelskou kariéru. Další část vysvětluje pojem narace, stanovuje základní principy a nastiňuje jeho roli ve vývoji učitelů. Nakonec se teoretická část zabývá životními zkušenostmi učitelů, jakožto základní složkou narací. Praktická část zkoumá šest učitelů ze dvou českých základních škol a analyzuje jejich narace. Nabízí popis obou škol a poskytuje hluboký profil samotných učitelů, jejich minulosti a profesního života. Narace také obsahují analýzu vyučovacích stylů jednotlivých učitelů, která byla provedena on-line dotazníkem. Dále praktická část poskytuje několik výstupů, které vyplynuly z narací a srovnává učitele mezi sebou. Práce nakonec přichází s návrhy pro možná zlepšení a využití narací v praxi.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with rather new phenomena of teachers narratives. It consists of theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part provides characteristics of teachers’ job and describes some aspects of being a teacher with a special focus on teaching English as a foreign language. Then it deals with a description of individual teaching styles and their role in teaching. One chapter provides information about teachers’ development, reasons for it and its importance in teachers’ professional life. Next part explains the term of narratives, it lays out the basic principles and illustrates the role of narratives in teacher’s development. Finally it deals with eliciting teachers’ experiences as the main component of narratives. The practical part explores six English teachers from two schools in the Czech Republic and analyses their narratives. It gives a description of both schools and provides deep profiles of the teachers themselves, their history and professional lives. The narratives also contain a teaching style analysis which was done via an on-line questionnaire. It gives some outcomes which have risen from the individual narratives and compares the teachers among themselves. The thesis concludes with suggestions for possible using of narratives in teaching practice.
