The position of the Česká spořitelna in the field of deposit products within the Erste Group and in the Czech market.

Abstract:

Diplomová práce s názvem ?Pozice České spořitelny v oblasti depozitních produktů v rámci skupin ERSTE i na českém trhu? pojednává o depozitech z pohledu banky a pohledu klienta. Z pohledu banky ? České spořitelny zkoumá vliv úročení depozit na rentabilitu banky pomocí dekompozice ukazatele ROE. Výsledky vybraných ukazatelů dekompozice ROE porovnává s ukazateli Slovenské sporitelni, Erste Bank Rakousko a s celou finanční skupinou Erste Group. Z pohledu klienta se zabývá komparací úročení depozitních produktů se Slovenskou sporitelňou a třemi bankami na českém trhu, které za skupinu velkých bank reprezentuje Komerční banka, za skupinu středně velkých bank GE Money Bank a za skupinu nízkonákladových bank Air Bank. Tato práce je rozdělena do tří hlavních částí. První část je teoretická a zabývá se vlivy na depozita. Druhá část se zabývá depozity z pohledu banky, konkrétně dekompozicí ukazatele ROE a komparací České spořitelny s vybranými členy Erste Group i celou finanční skupinou. Třetí část pojednává o komparaci depozitních produktů České spořitelny se Slovenskou sporitelňou a třemi bankami na českém trhu.

Abstract:

This thesis with the title ?The position of the Ceska sporitelna in the field of deposit products in the Erste Group and in the Czech market? deals with deposits from the perspective of the bank and from the client´s perspective. It examines the impact of the interest rates on deposits on the profitability of the bank by using ROE decomposition from the point of view of the bank ? Ceska sporitelna. The results of the selected indicators obtained from the decomposition of ROE are compared with the indicators of Slovenska sporitelna, Erste Bank Austria and the whole financial group Erste Group. From the client´s perspective the thesis compares the interest rates on deposit products of Ceska sporitena with those of Slovenska sporitelna and three selected banks operating in the Czech market, from which Komercni banka represents the group of large banks, GE Money Bank represents the group of medium- sized banks and the group of low-cost bank is represented by the Air Bank. This work is dividend into three main parts. The first part is theoretical and addresses the factors that influence deposits. The second part focuses on deposit from the banks´ perspective, namely, on the decomposition of ROE and the comparison of Ceska sporitelna with selected members of the Erste Group and the entire financial group. The third part includes a comparison of the deposit products of Ceska sporitelna with those of Slovenska sporitelna and three selected banks operating in the Czech market.
