Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá pohledem na institut Mezinárodního soudního dvora, od myšlenky k jeho vzniku, přes proces jeho založení, vymezení činnosti, seznámení s funkcionáři Mezinárodního soudního dvora a jejich působností, zevšeobecnění včech mezinárodních sporů, které řešil od jeho založení do dnešního dne a podrobná analýza vybraných judikátů s vlastním názorem.
