Competition in bus service

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se věnuje konkurenci v autobusové dopravě na linkách mezi Kladnem a Prahou. Součástí analýzy je také rozbor dostupnosti a kvality autobusové dopravy ve spádových obcích. Jako řešení rozebíraných problémů je navrženo pět nových linek. Tato práce také obsahuje základní teoretický úvod do tržních mechanismů a současnou legislativu upravující podnikání v autobusové dopravě v České republice.

Abstract:

This paper will focus on the competition in bus service along the line between the destinations Kladno and Prague. The work also involves an analysis of access to bus transport and the quality provided in catchment areas. As a solution of issues concerned five new lines were proposed. Another part of the paper gives a basic theoretical introduction into the market mechanisms and the recent legislation on business activities in bus transport in the Czech Republic.
