Burnout syndrome among IT specialists

Abstract:

Hlavním cílem práce je prozkoumání syndromu vyhoření u pracovníků označovaných jako IT specialisté a navržení doporučení pro efektivní zvládání stresu a prevenci vzniku tohoto syndromu. Práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část. V teoretické části jsou definovány související pojmy a způsoby prevence na základě informací odborné literatury. V praktické části je nejprve uvedena výzkumná metoda, kterou je polostrukturovaný hloubkový rozhovor. Následně jsou v téže části výsledky hloubkových rozhovorů s respondenty pracujícími ve zkoumaném odvětví. V závěru práce jsou shrnuty klíčové oblasti prevence. Na základě syntézy poznatků z teoretické a praktické části byla stanovena a popsána konkrétní doporučení pro zaměstnance pracující v sektoru informačních technologií.

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis is to analyze the burnout syndrome among employees commonly referred to as IT specialists and to suggest recommendations for effective stress management and the prevention of this syndrome. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. In the theoretical part are described related terms and ways to prevent the burnout syndrome based on information from the literature and other sources. In the practical part, a research method is described, which in this case is an in-depth interview with selected respondents working in IT sector. At the end of the thesis, key findings in ways of preventing burnout are summarized. Based on the synthesis of theoretical findings and results of the interviews, corresponding recommendations for prevention are described.
