Factors influencing IT staff fluctuation

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with the factors that are influencing the turnover of employees working in the IT department in an organization operating as a center of shared services. The aim of the diploma thesis is to create such recommendations, based on semi-structured interviews with respondents, that will lead to a reduction in turnover in IT departments in the analysed organization. The thesis is divided into three parts – theoretical, methodological, and empirical. In the first part, there is theoretical background related to the researched issues. The methodological part contains the procedure of the research itself as well as the limits of the research. The empirical part provides data obtained from the research. At the end are stated recommendations as the improve-ments for the current situation.

Abstract:

Diplomová práca pojednáva o faktoroch ovplyvňujúcich fluktuáciu zamestnancov pracujúcich na IT oddelení v organizácií pôsobiacej ako centrum zdieľaných služieb. Cieľom diplomovej práce je vypracovať na základe pološtrukturovaných rozhovorov s respondentmi také odporúčania, ktoré budú viesť k zníženiu fluktuácie na IT oddeleniach v analyzovanej organizácií. Práca je členená na tri časti a to na časť teoretickú, metodologickú a empirickú. V prvej časti sú teoretické východiská súvisiace so skúmanou problematikou. V metodologickej časti je uvedený postup samotného výskumu ako aj limity výskumu a v empirickej časti sú interpretované získané dáta z výskumu a uvedené odporúčania na zlepšenie aktuálnej situácie.
