Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder in War Veterans

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou posttraumatické stresové poruchy u válečných veteránů. Teoretická část práce charakterizuje posttraumatickou stresovou poruchu, její příznaky a možné způsoby léčby. Součástí teoretické části je také rozdělení zahraničních misí a stručný přehled o posttraumatické stresové poruše u válečných veteránů vybraných zahraničních armád. V praktické části byla použita metoda dotazníkového šetření českých válečných veteránů, které bylo zaměřené na psychický stav vojáků po návratu ze zahraniční operace. Výsledky z dotazníků byly následně vyhodnoceny a bylo navrženo opatření k minimalizaci rozvoje posttraumatické stresové poruchy u příslušníků ozbrojených sil.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the issue of post-traumatic stress disorder in war veterans. The theoretical part of the work characterizes post-traumatic stress disorder, its symmptoms, and possible treatments. The theoretical part also includes the division of foreign missions and a brief overview of post-traumatic stress disorder in war veterans of selected foreign armies. In the practical part, the questionnaire survey of Czech war veterans was used, which focused on soldiers' mental state after returning from a foreign operation. The questionnaire survey results were subsequently evaluated, and a measure was proposed to minimize the development of post-traumatic stress disorder in members of the armed forces.
