Abstract:

Práce se zaměřuje na přístupnost internetu pro lidi s mentálním postižením. Internet je v současné době nenaraditelným zdrojem informací a důležitým komunikačním prostředkem. Nabízí možnost velké výhody pro znevýhodněné. Cílem mé práce je zjistit, jak by měly vypadat webové stránky pro lidi s mentálním postižením tak, aby byly pro tyto lidi nejvíce srozumitelné. V práci se dále snažím zjistit, do jaké míry využívají lidé s tímto handicapem internet a za jakým účelem. Práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část. V teoretické části se zabývám problematikou lidí s mentálním postižením, tvorbou jednoduchých sdělení a pravidly přístupných webových stránek pro lidi se zdravotním postižením. V praktické části jsem použila metodu dotazníkového šetření. Zaměřila jsem se na dospělé lidi s lehkým mentálním postižením, kteří umí číst a mají základní zkušenosti s ovládáním počítače a internetu. Závěrem poukazuji na to, že při tvorbě přístupných webových stránek je nutné spolupracovat přímo s lidmi s mentálním postižením a vycházet jim vstříct v jejich potřebách.

Abstract:

The aim of this paper called „Internet and People with Learning Disabilities“ is to find out the way in which people with learning disabilities use the internet. The theoretical part of this paper is focused on people with learning disabilities and their relationship to internet. The practical part includes a questionnaire designed to outline reasons why people with learning disabilities use internet and how easy it is for them. Data in my paper were collected in organizations that help people with using the internet. I found out that people with learning disabilities have the same basic information needs as the majority of population. It is very important to use practical examples, to avoid abstract concepts and to check whether people with learning disabilities can understand it. My research comes to a conclusion it is good to find out that people with learning disabilities have positive motivation to use the internet.
