Diplomová práce se zabývá problémy týkající se nezaměstnanosti, konkrétně podporou v nezaměstnanosti, její změnou a aplikací do okresu Most. V práci je charakterizována nezaměstnanost, zákon o zaměstnanosti a jeho změny. Dále je zde popsána role státní správy a samosprávy. Jako výzkumná metoda je použita deskripce.
