Study of mechanical properties of UV curable monomers and their mixtures

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá studiem hybridně polymerujících UV zářením vytvrzovaných nizkoviskózních laků. V teoretické části je práce věnována specifikám a složení laků a barev, mechanismům polymerace iniciované UV zářením, zdrojům záření potřebným k vytvrzení vrstev, metodě FTIR, mechanickým vlastnostem těchto vytvrzených lakových a barvových vrstev a teplotě skelného přechodu. V rámci experimentální části proběhla příprava a vytvrzení hybridně polymerujících laků a samotných monomerů, použitých pro přípravu hybridních formulací. Dále je v práci obsaženo hodnocení stupně konverze, stanovení teploty skelného přechodu a testování mechanických vlastností vytvrzených laků a monomerů.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with the study of hybrid UV-cured low viscosity varnishes. In the theoretical part, the work is devoted to the specifics and composition of varnishes and inks, mechanisms of polymerization initiated by UV radiation, radiation sources needed for curing of layers, FTIR method, mechanical properties of these cured varnish and ink layers and glass transition temperature. In the experimental part, the preparation and curing of hybrid varnishes and separate monomers, which were used for the preparation of hybrid formulations is described. Furthermore, the work includes the evaluation of the degree of conversion, determination of the glass transition temperature and testing of mechanical properties of cured varnishes and monomers
