Teacher Assistant in Elementary Schools in the Zlín Region

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou profese asistenta pedagoga na základních školách ve Zlínském kraji. Teoretická část se zaměřuje na asistenta pedagoga jako funkci i jako osobnost. Jsou zde popsány možnosti zřízení této profese, osobnostní i kvalifikační předpoklady a náplň práce. Dále se práce věnuje integraci, inkluzi a faktorům, které tyto procesy ovlivňují. Závěr teoretické části je zaměřen na charakteristiku vybraných druhů zdravotního postižení. Praktická část se opírá o polostrukturované rozhovory s asistenty pedagogů na základních školách ve Zlínském kraji, kteří působí ve třídě, v níž je vzděláván integrovaný žák se zdravotním postižením. Cílem diplomové práce bylo na základě výsledků šetření zmapovat a popsat roli, jakou tito asistenti zaujímají během vzdělávacího procesu.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the profession assistant of teacher at the primary schools in the Zlín region. The theoretical part characterises this type of assistant in terms of his/her function as well as personality. It explains the possibilities of establishment of this profession, the personal and professional requirements, as well as the scope of his/her work. Furthermore, the work discusses integration and inclusion, as well as the factors influencing these processes. The conclusion of the theoretical part characterises selected types of disability. The practical part is based on semi-structured interviews with assistants of teachers at primary schools in the Zlín region where they are present in the classrooms with an integrated disabled pupil. On the basis of the survey results, the thesis maps and describes the role played by these assistants during the education process.
