Social Support for Families in the Integration of People with Mental Disabilities into Society

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá rodinou dítěte s mentálním postižením a integritou dítěte do společnosti. Teoretická část je zaměřena na popis a charakteristiku jednotlivých skupin mentálního postižení, druhy jiného postižení. V dalších kapitolách jsou popsány reakce rodičů na postižené dítě, sociální integrace dítěte, možnosti vzdělání pro mentálně postižené, zaměstnanost osob se zdravotním postižením a ekonomickou situaci rodiny a možnosti využití sociálních dávek či sociálních služeb. Praktická část je tvořena kvalitativním výzkumem, který je tvořen polostrukturovanými rozhovory s vedoucími zájmových kroužků, rodiči a jejich dětmi. Cílem bakalářské práce je posoudit kvalitu integrace dětí s mentálním postižením ve volnočasových aktivitách z pohledu rodičů a vedoucích zájmových kroužků. V závěru práce jsou výsledky výzkumného šetření.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with a family with a mentally handicapped child and the integrity of the child into the society. The theoretical part is focused on the description and the characteristics of different categories of mental handicappes and different kinds of other disabilities. In the other chapters the following problems have been described: the reactions of parents to their handicapped child, the social integration of the child, educational opportunities for mentally handicapped children, the employment of people with a handicap and the economic situation of the family and the possibilities of social benefits and social servi-ces. The practical part includes a qualitative research, which consists of semi-structured interviews with leaders of groups for spending free time, parents and childrens. The aim of the thesis is to assess the quality of the integration of mentally handicapped children into leisure time activities from the perspective of parents and leaders of leisure time activities. In the conclusion, the results of the research have been enclosed.
