Education of pregnant women about weight gain

Abstract:

Hlavním cílem této bakalářské práce bylo navržení, zpracování a realizace edukačního plánu v oblasti hmotnostního přírůstku v těhotenství. Edukace, kterou tvořily 4 edukační jednotky, byla provedena u třech vybraných těhotných žen v soukromé gynekologické ordinaci v Ostravě. Diagnostika deficitu znalostí byla provedena pomocí vstupního rozhovoru a znalostního testu provedeného před samotnou edukací. Ze sesbíraných dat byly stanoveny edukační diagnózy a vypracován edukační plán. Následně proběhla realizace edukace a na samém závěru stálo zhodnocení edukace u daných žen. Teoretická část bakalářské práce se věnuje problematice edukace, hmotnostních změn v těhotenství, rizik souvisejících s vysokým a nízkým hmotnostním přírůstkem v těhotenství, pohybových aktivit v těhotenství a zdravého stravování. V části praktické je zpracován návrh edukačního plánu a jeho realizace u tří vybraných klientek. Edukační proces měl klientkám zajistit potřebné informace týkající se hmotnostního přírůstku v těhotenství, jak jej lze ovlivnit zdravým životním stylem a jaká mohou být rizika neadekvátního přírůstku hmotnosti. Dále měla edukace shrnout a ujasnit potřebné informace týkající se správné pohybové aktivity v těhotenství a zásady zdravého stravování. Součástí bakalářské práce je také edukační materiál pro těhotné ženy, který obsahuje veškeré informace, které byly náplní edukace. Edukační materiál měly ženy po celou dobu edukace k dispozici a mohly do něj kdykoliv nahlédnout.

Abstract:

The main aim of this bachelor thesis was proposal, creation and realisation of the educational plan in the area of the gestational weight gain. The education, consisting of four planned educational units, was done on three chosen clients in the private gynecological clinic in Ostrava. Lack of information was diagnosed through the dialogue and the entry knowledge test done before the education itself. Educational diagnoses were set using the collected data and then the educational plan was developed. The realization of the eduacation took place right afterwards and in the end stood the evaluation of the education. The theoretical part of this bachelor thesis applies to the problematics of education, weight changes in pregnancy, risks of excessive and low gestational weight gain, physical activity in pregnancy and healthy nutrition. In the practical part draft of educational plan is compiled and therefore its realization on the three chosen clients. The educational process should have provided necessary information regarding gestational weight gain, impact of healthy life style on weight gain and what risks can an inappropriate weight gain bring. The education should also have summarized and clarified needed information concerning the correct physical activity in pregnancy and the principles of healthy nutrition. This bachelor thesis also includes an educational material for pregnant woman which contains all of the information that was part of the education itself. All of the clients had the eduactional material at disposal through the whole eduacation and they could take a look into it whenever.
