Sexuality of the individuals with autism spectrum disorder

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá sexualitou jedinců s poruchami autistického spektra (PAS) i pohledem jejich rodičů či pečovatelů na tuto oblast. Cílem práce je přiblížit pocity, prožitky a zkušenosti matek se sexualitou svých dětí, která má vliv na psychiku blízké rodiny. Teoretická část práce je zaměřena na současné teoretické poznatky dané problematiky, zejména projevy, deficity, nebo chování, popis jednotlivých poruch autistického spektra či intervence. Praktickou část práce tvoří kvalitativní typ výzkumu zaměřeného na prožívání sexuality jedinců s PAS a výpovědi rodičů (matek). Sběr dat probíhal formou polostrukturovaného rozhovoru se samotnými jedinci s PAS a poté s jejich matkami. K analýze dat byla použita metoda IPA. Rozhovory byly pečlivě zaznamenávány a jejich průběh řádně zdokumentován v práci. Výzkum se snažil přiblížit zkušenost matek se sexualitou jedinců s PAS.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the sexuality of individuals with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and the view of their parents or caregivers in this area. The aim of the thesis is to present the feelings, experiences and experiences of mothers with the sexuality of their children, which has an impact on the psyche of a close family. The theoretical part of the thesis is focused on current theoretical knowledge of the given issue, especially manifestations, deficits, or behavior, description of individual autism spectrum disorders or interventions. The practical part of the thesis consists of a qualitative type of research focused on experiencing the sexuality of individuals with ASD and the testimony of parents (mothers). The data collection took place in the form of a semi-structured interview with the individuals themselves with ASD and then with their mothers. The IPA method was used to analyze the data. The interviews were carefully recorded and their progress properly documented at work. The research sought to approximate the experience of mothers with the sexuality of individuals with ASD.
