The development of potatoes commodity chain in the Czech Republic.

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se věnuje vývoji komoditní vertikály brambor v podmínkách České republiky. Práce charakterizuje komoditní vertikálu brambor, hodnotí ekonomické souvislosti produkce a užití, resp. spotřeby, vývoj cenových hladin komodity a zahraniční obchod s bramborami. Výsledky práce ukázaly snižující se osevní plochy brambor. Snížila se také spotřeba. Z hlediska hektarových výnosů jsou nejzajímavějšími průmyslové brambory. Z pohledu zahraničního obchodu brambor převažuje import nad exportem. Obchodní marže cen brambor stoupá.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the development of potatoes commodity chain in the Czech Republic. The thesis characterized the commodity vertical of potatoes, evaluates the economic context of production and consumption, the development of commodity price levels, and foreign trade in potatoes. The results of the thesis showed decreasing sown areas of potatoes. The consumption also decreased. The most interesting are industrial potatoes in terms of yields per hectare. From the perspective of foreign trade in potatoes, imports outweigh exports. The trade margin for potato prices is rising.
